I see that one can get 1000 rewbies for $0.99, but with levels costing 1,000, 2,000, and 3,000 rewbies I don’t know if people will pay that much for extra levels.

I think that right now the levels cost too much. (I dunno about $ wise, but yeah I think Level 2 should cost slightly less and the end levels should also cost a lot less. Like only as much as the coolest characters.

With the conversion to coins, I’m much happier with the rate that they accumulate. I was able to get 10,000 coins fairly quickly, so they do add up much faster than the rewbies did.

Not only does it “feel” like you’re accumulating currency much faster because of that extra zero — but you actually are. The bonus system was balanced differently and now rewards you more generously. Also, prices are much lower all-around.

Forest, I think I agree with you on the price of the levels. There’s been a couple of different ways I’ve been thinking about the cost of things, levels in particular:
(1) Moving to harder levels might help drive sales of powerups, which I think are fairly easy to ignore in the first few levels. This train of thought tells me that yes, level prices should be lower.
(2) Levels are a main goal to unlock, so once they’re unlocked there’s a sense of completion and the player may not have interest to play after that. This supports keeping level prices high.

My gut tells me the prices should be lower. Not significantly lower, but lower — especially the first 3-4 levels.

Any other input from anybody?

I’d agree that the first 3-4 could be 10-20% cheaper.
